More and more people are looking to disconnect, reconnect, get off the grid, and escape the stresses of modern life. Switching your iPhone off can be surprisingly liberating. Life moves fast, and sometimes, we forget to press pause. We offer two one-bedroom unplugged cabins designed to help you slow down and a couple of two-bedroom cabins with wi-fi and a smart TV. Despite our wanting you to ignore the outside world, many people need reassurance that they can still work if required.
This is a relaxing and peaceful holiday base. Expanses of glittering tranquil water abound with fish, wildfowl, and other birds making it a private and exclusive paradise for visitors staying with us. The coarse fishing and nature reserve are for the sole use of our visitors to fish, bird watch, and enjoy the wildlife.
Walking paths have been cut into the site to enable you to get into the heart of this wildlife haven with benches perfectly placed for sketching, photography, or a restful place to watch the many species of woodland and field birds. For dedicated bird watchers, there is a hide by one of the lakes and each lodge has a plant and wildlife identification book to help your observations.
The coarse fishing is around the lakes which cover approximately 50% of the site with private fishing platforms situated at each lodge for the most convenient fishing experiences where you can fish for Rudd, Roach, Tench, Carp, Bream, and Ide.
Whether it’s a quiet getaway for two or a break in good company with friends, there is a lodge with your name on the welcome mat.
All cabins have double French doors leading out onto your private verandahs. All cabins have fully equipped Kitchens, cast iron gas stoves, and laundry facilities. Rating, 5 stars,·August 2023Wow, what a treat! I felt like not leaving a review, so the place stays quiet for when I want to book it again, but that wouldn't be fair. On the day of arrival, the host messaged me to say we could come in earlier (as the lodge was ready), and on the day of departure, I was told we didn't have to hurry as no one was coming that day- we appreciated it! When we arrived and saw the lodge from outside, I was overcome with happiness, as I love nature and the lodge itself with all the beautiful plants around it, looked idyllic. Inside, the lodge was spacious, very clean, and super-comfortable. There is not one thing I could fault about this place and I'm hoping to visit it soon again.

Rating, 5 stars,·July 2023If you’re looking for a secluded peaceful getaway away from the city then this is the place. A lovely cabin tucked away. Lots of land to explore and fish. Caught a 6lb Chub and a 10lb Carp. Francesca was a great host; very friendly and provided great advice on the surrounding areas. If you’re looking for a place to sit on social media, this is not the place for you. This is the place to unwind and enjoy nature! The cabin was stocked with the basics, including cleaning equipment. Would return and recommend it!
